COMMS Make every callout useful
Communication Guide
We Were Here Together is built around incomplete information. A good callout gives your partner the detail they need, in the order they can use it.
METHOD Solve it together
Walkthrough method
Describe, then decide
Do not start with a conclusion. Give the raw evidence first so your partner can compare it against their own room.
Use stable directions
Agree on a reference point before saying left, right, clockwise, or opposite. A map and a room rarely share the same orientation.
Close every instruction loop
Caller gives one action; operator repeats it; caller confirms. This three-step loop is slower by seconds and saves minutes.
! Full-solution direction
When you are ready for the nudge
Call literal details first: count, shape, colour, and position. Then give an instruction. Keep one player as caller during a timed sequence and use short confirmations after every action.
